Introduction to the Family.
What is a Family?
A Family is known as a group of people affiliated by consanguinity, affinity, or co-residence. In many modern societies it is the principal institution for the socialization of children. Anthropologists most generally define families into specific categories. They define family organization as matricidal (living within your local community of growing up mother and child); conjugal (husband wife and children, also referred to as nuclear family) , and consanguineous (extended family). There are many different types of families, as well as different cultural related families, and different concepts of religion.
In society how do we classify our Family?
Some people may have been lucky enough to be raised in a family with two loving partners and a secure environment. But in other situations that may not be the case. A family is defined upon many ways, you can be raised by just a mother, or just a father, this doesn't allow you to not be able to say "I live in a family". No longer has family meant that you need to carry the biological factor in order to be defined properly within that family. There has been outstanding resources that are growing to allow for children to experience a family, and a environment in which they feel comfortable to be living in. Family can be determined by many people's biased or unbiased opinions, it is how we determine it ourselves that allows us to tell one another the true meaning behind "Family."
